I have a personal project in which I'm dedicated to spread the word about the fantastic-hybrid nature that inhabits my mind and my dreams. My purpose is to show the fascinating combination of beings that are already fascinating by themselves. I'm inspired by my own worldview, my photos, photos made by many photographers and, of course, mythology and folklore - some of my favorite matters. Other surrealist creatures like my deer birds are found here and they're all ready to become part of your project.
Mammals as docile as they are mischievous, the butterfly squirrels have diurnal habits and the colors of their wings can show countless variations - such as butterflies. Their babies are already born with small wing designs that tend to develop in a few weeks, enabling them to early flights.
Moth-cats are most active at dusk and at night, they are quick on both the ground and in the air and love to hide and play in the autumn blown leaves. Many of them behave like eternal kittens and we can call them 'eternal' in its literal form, since an elderly specimen of them has never been found, nor is it possible to estimate their longevity.
The ladybug-mice are one of the smallest species of rodents ever portrayed and yet some say they don't exist. Much is speculated about the absence of their antennae, as if the existence of their wings was not a phenomenon in their own right.
The mosquito-chipmunks love blueberries, but are yet to be properly described... If you have some idea, please leave in the comments section below!
Here you can watch some speedpaint process!
Finally, one more winged mouse. They keep popping up in my mind. Maybe they are my favorite.
Can you smell it?
